ReciteFlow ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application ReciteFlow (the "App").
Our privacy commitment
ReciteFlow is designed with privacy in mind. We believe you should be able to memorize your lines without being tracked, profiled, or monetized.
- No account. You don't need to create an account or sign in to use ReciteFlow.
- No personal data collection. We don't collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
- No tracking or analytics. We don't use analytics services, tracking pixels, or user behavior monitoring.
- No ads. We don't display advertisements and don't share data with ad networks.
- Works offline. Practice, your sets, the reminder and backups all work without an internet connection. ReciteFlow has no server of its own and never sends your sets to us.
Data stored on your phone
Everything you create in ReciteFlow is stored on your phone. This includes:
- Your sets (lyrics, scripts, speeches) and the date you add to each one
- Your practice progress and ratings
- Folders
- App preferences (language, theme, session length, reminder time)
We don't have servers that collect user data, so the App never sends any of this to us or to any third party.
Android backup
ReciteFlow allows Android's own device backup. If backup is turned on for your phone, Android may include ReciteFlow's data (your sets, progress and settings) in the backup it keeps in your Google account, so it can come back when you set up a new phone. That backup is made and stored by Google under your account and your phone's backup settings, and we have no access to it. You can turn it off in your phone's backup settings.
Notifications
If you switch on the daily reminder, ReciteFlow asks for permission to show notifications. The reminder is scheduled on your phone, not sent from a server. The App sets it again after your phone restarts or the App is updated, so it keeps going off.
In-app purchases
ReciteFlow offers an optional one-time Pro purchase through Google Play. The purchase is handled entirely by Google Play, and we do not receive or store any payment information. The App asks Google Play whether your Google account owns Pro, which is how Pro comes back on a new phone. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles purchase data.
Ratings
After a practice session, ReciteFlow may ask Google Play to show its rating prompt, and Settings has a link to the App's page on Google Play. Any rating or review you leave goes to Google Play, not to us.
Export, import and sharing
You can export your sets as .reciteflow files to back them up or share them, with or without your progress. These files are created on your phone. When you share them, you choose where they go. We never see or access these files.
Children's privacy
ReciteFlow does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since we don't collect data, there is no special data handling for children.
Third-party services
ReciteFlow uses these services, both provided by Google:
- Google Play Billing, for the optional Pro purchase.
- Google Play In-App Review, to show Google Play's rating prompt.

This website
reciteflow.com uses no analytics, cookies or trackers. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may log basic request data, such as IP addresses, for security; see the GitHub General Privacy Statement. Links to Google Play carry a tag that tells Google Play the visit came from this site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will show any significant change by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
